The Insane Clown Posse, otherwise known as the Juggalos, are a group of fans who love the rap duo ICP. They have been labeled as a gang by the FBI and many other organizations for their violent history and alleged affiliation with white supremacist groups. This documentary takes an in-depth look at the United States of Insanity through interviews with members of ICP and their families, friends, supporters, critics, law enforcement officials, and more.

In the film ‘The World’s Most Hated Band,’ renowned rappers Insane Clown Posse unwittingly became inadvertent First Amendment fighters after taking on the FBI after all one million of their followers were classified as gang members. The band fights to uncover the reasons for the designation and be removed from the gang list with the help of the ACLU, which filed a federal lawsuit against the FBI, as their fans lose their jobs, their children are placed in protective custody, and they face jail time – all because of their musical tastes.

“During the seven years we shot with ICP, their fans, their attorneys, and the government agencies chasing them, our aim was to put the viewer through our own paces of discovery,” stated Producer/Director Tom Putnam.

“During the seven years we’ve been filming ICP and their fans as they fight for their lives against the FBI, we’ve layered ICP’s extensive archive of music videos, home movies, documentaries, and feature films throughout our film, helping us paint a unique story of two high school dropouts who achieved their own American dream while bringing people along for the ride.”

Strike Back Studios’ President, Noor Ahmed, stated “We’ve been fortunate to be a part of several great documentaries and feature narratives this year since establishing Strike Back a little over a year ago, but we view The United States of Insanity as our hallmark release of 2021. I grew up in the 1990s less than an hour south of ICP’s birthplace of Detroit, so I saw their rise to popularity and impact firsthand. I’m honored to be a member of the battle against law enforcement persecution of any group.”
