As the market becomes saturated with sequels, publishers and new titles alike are looking for a way to stand out from the crowd. One More Game is one of those companies that has found success by staying true to its player base and doing what it does best: making quality games which players can enjoy without having to put in too much effort into them.

One More Game is a new studio that has been created by an old team. The founders of the company have stated that they take a “players first” attitude and are looking to create games without being influenced by “ego”. Read more in detail here: one more game games.

One More Game, a dev firm founded by former ArenaNet and En Masse Entertainment founder Patrick Wyatt and former Undead Labs and Riot Games programmer Jamie Winson, was announced in July. At the time, the company got a $5.7 million capital investment and touted its concentration on online cross-platform PC and mobile games as well as its “alpha driven development” approach to game production.

OMG has broken its silence once again to release its manifesto in an attempt to properly express what the studio is all about to both prospective gamers and creators. This manifesto’s tenets include putting players first and respecting their time, as well as committing to listening to player input and encouraging user-created content.

“Game designers are performers,” says one. At the end of the day, we’re creating something primarily for the satisfaction of our gamers. We try to be sensitive to our players’ wishes and suggestions, and we prioritize additions and improvements for the audience we have.”

The manifesto also makes promises about the studio’s workplace culture, stating that it will be “inclusive, collaborative, forgiving, and free of ego,” while also aiming to keep developers happy and form partnerships that will allow the studio to create high-quality games without growing to the point where scaling its culture becomes unsustainable. At the same time, OMG expresses a desire to “iterate quickly,” providing team members with “processes and tools that allow them to offer player value at breakneck speed.”
