New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley’s return to Penn State for its homecoming game was one of the most memorable moments of the season. The only thing that could top it is if he brought his team with him.
Saquon Barkley’s Penn State homecoming was a great event. The players, coaches, and fans were all in attendance to celebrate the Nittany Lions’ big win over Ohio State.
One of college football’s most cherished traditions will make a triumphant comeback tonight. No. 10 Penn State hosts No. 22 Auburn in a White Out matchup at Beaver Stadium. For this prime-time game, the stadium is sold out, which means that many people will be in the stands cheering on their favorite team. Saquon Barkley, a Penn State icon, will be among those in attendance.
The current New York Giants running back and former Nittany Lions star returned to Happy Valley, where he became a household name. He was a three-year starter for Penn State and had a number of memorable moments. Barkley established school records for overall running touchdowns (43) and career rushing touchdowns (43) while playing for the Nittany Lions (53). He was drafted No. 2 overall in the 2018 NFL draft as a consequence of his excellent collegiate career.
Barkley has been busy since returning to his alma school and is looking forward to the White Out game. Take a look at everything he accomplished on his return to school, which began with his appearance on College GameDay as a guest selector.

Barkley arrived in style at Penn State, flying in on a private aircraft that is often utilized for GameDay picks. In the Giants’ 30-29 defeat against the Washington Football Team on Thursday, Barkley ran for 57 yards. Despite the defeat, Barkley seemed ecstatic to be back in State College and donned his analyst hat to predict this week’s college football matchups.

Barkley made a few choices for different matchups, but one of them was a no-brainer. He said that he would never choose Auburn over his Nittany Lions. The majority of the College GameDay panel agreed with the 24-year-old running back, with just David Pollack picking Auburn.

Barkley, on the other hand, isn’t just returning to Happy Valley to select games; he’ll be on the sidelines as well. It’s fair to say the crowd was ecstatic to learn that No. 26 will be among those in attendance for the first White Out game since 2019.

Penn State head coach James Franklin made it a point to visit his former player before hitting the field for his big-time game versus the Tigers. Franklin had coached Barkley for three seasons, and the two seemed to be pleased to see one other. Fans greeted them enthusiastically as they came onto the field.

Despite the fact that Barkley was a football player for Penn State and will be attending their football game tonight, he is receiving support from the school’s other sports departments. He was recognized on social media by both the men’s and women’s hockey teams, and he was dressed in a new hockey jersey before the game (which is white, of course). As he prepared to watch his old team face Auburn, he also met up with ESPN sidleine reporter Holly Rowe and hugged the fans in the bleachers.
