- The Xbox Series X software is still being tweaked by Microsoft.
- The firm is now working on a better user interface for its products.
- This new UI will vastly enhance the 4K TV experience.
- Xbox Insiders may now use Alpha Skip-Ahead to test this functionality.
We know you weren’t, but if you were searching for a way to improve the user interface on your Xbox One, Microsoft has some good news for you.
Recently, the Redmond tech behemoth began testing a new 4K dashboard for the Xbox Series X.
As a result, Xbox Insiders in the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead divisions will have access to the Xbox dashboard’s enhanced resolution, which is intended to improve UI components for 4K screens.
The UI on the Series X has improved from 1080p to 4K.
Before this new 4K dashboard, Xbox Series X consoles only had 1080p dashboard UI components, which wasn’t terrible but might be better.
The Xbox Series X will look better on 4K TVs thanks to native 4K components in the Home, Guide, and other sections of the interface.
On Xbox Series X consoles connected to a 4K monitor, Alpha Skip-Ahead Insiders may begin testing a higher resolution UI. This update implies that the UI’s Home, Guide, and other sections will be presented in a higher native resolution for better clarity and text readability.
This is what the Xbox software engineers had to say regarding the upcoming update to the console’s firmware.
We don’t know whether HDR will be enabled as part of this new resolution update, or if the Xbox Series S’s dashboard resolution will be improved as well.
Because the Xbox Series S is capable of 4K output, it’s likely that this system will also get the update.
These modifications came only days after Microsoft began testing a new night mode for Xbox systems.
The new night mode enables Xbox users to reduce the brightness of their displays, controller LEDs, and even the Xbox power button.
So, by the end of the year, both the 4K dashboard and night mode should be available on all Xbox Series X consoles.
